Honey my wedding was only about 3,000 dollars if that! The key to it all is to shop around! It's time consuming, but worth it. If there are VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars)clubs where you live, you should try to rent one of these places because they are only like $200.00 to rent, but it depends on the size of Hall you need. The Church and a Reception Hall should be reserved a year in advance. If you need a limo, six months in advance. The cake, DJ., Flowers, Tuxedos, and someone to decorate your Reception hall, about four months in advance. I did everything myself also. I hope this helps. The food, for my wedding, my dad cooked all the food and had it served at the hall, but if you need a caterer, reserve at least a year in advance also.
hey I found a plan which gives you a rough guide to when to book all the little bits for the wedding!

How to plan a wedding without a planner?
Hi! I just had a few questions. I have been looking all over the internet for a guide on how to plan a wedding. I cannot afford a wedding planner so I'm taking a second route which would be to do it myself. I wanted to know when I would have to pay for...
the booking of church and reception, cake, DJ, flowers, etc...
I only have 3 brides maids and my dress is very inexpensive. So how would I go about planning a nice but inexpensive wedding? I know that the average wedding today is over 20,000 dollars but I am on an extremely tight budget! Help?
Thanks in advance!
