Hi!
My sister ended up getting her GED at 17, so I can tell you what little I know from her. She attended GED prep classes at the local high school in the evenings, and then took the test on a scheduled testing day at a specific testing center. Now, I'm sure you have to take the actual GED exam at a specific place (not online), but for the preparation aspect of it, I'm sure there are countless tools online for you to use.
It may cost money, but there are GED prep courses online, such as this one:

Is there a way to get your g.e.d. online?
I need to get my G.E.D. but going to school is going to be a little hard. if anyone knows if or how I can do it online, that'd be fabulous. As we all know ONLINE is much easier, from the comfort of your own home. thank you!
