How to convince my parents to get a ferret?

Well I am responsible for my own cat two rats and sometime I feed the dogs.My point is that I really want a ferret.Yes most people are going to say that teenagers are going to grow out of thir pets or thay dont have the time to do the stuff that they...

need and all but im serious.I know a ferett is totally more responsibilty that two rats and a cat and two dogs oh ya a couple of fish but that dosent materr.But my room is a mess and my parent say I will grow out of a feret because my twin sister is like two minutes older than me and she didnt want to even touch a rat any more.And I cant stand being with out them.Well the mean part is that I got my rats taken away and are in my stupid sisters room and they say I cant even see the rats because my rooms not done.Well now there there in a little carrier case with no attentoin at all and barely any food and water!Well I protested she was abusing them and of course my dad stood up for her and said shes not she just forgot to put food and water in there!

Well I snuck in my sisters room and cleaned out the cage and played for them until she fot back from piano leson.Well once I clean my room I will get the rats back and I already have a chart when to give my cat a treat and feed them and cleean themm and I have a litle table in my room that I keep locked in chore so that cant get mixed up with any of my home work..I keep all of there history of going to a check ups and I give grooming there and brushing teeth there and all of there med all locked up very tighlly so nothing can get in or out.Im also getting a cage for my rats thats a huge ferret cage but using it for my rats.so I can use it for my ferret.
I've done 2 months of research on them and once I clear out recliners,Because they can get crushed.And any bad furniture or spaces they can get stuck in and I he time to let my rats play for 30 minutes in the play pen I will let my feret play for 2 hours in the play pen with me and I got all the things togroom them witha and like 500 dollors of check up money and back up plans and I ahve perfely fitted floor plan for coled air too and as much time to be with this fellow.I know having a ferret is a lot of responsability and please dont think im inresponsible of my spelling.
But howcan I convince my parent of getting a ferret and of course I know all the shots and all and have the money to do that sohow can I.

Make that the only thing you ask for on your Hanukah/Christmas/next birthday list. That way, it's almost necessary that you get one

maybe you should try cleaning your room. it seems that that is the only thing stopping you from getting your rats back, + a ferret.

I have the same dilemma... just be SUPER nice to your parents and help them with everything. Ask them about it every once in a while but don't be annoying! Also, show them that you have done research by typing up a few pages on ferrets. Always include: Cost, good points, bad points, facts, and why you deserve a ferret. if they continue to say no, then wait for a couple weeks and try it again. I've failed to get one until I tried this . Also, for me, it's been 3 years so don't expect a ferret right away. Hope that helps!

I just begged and begged and BEGGED!!! my mom kept saying no but finnaly she cracked. she just wanted to just me up so she let me buy a ferret after a week of begging. I know its not the best way but it worked!!!

its so annoying innit,
I asked my parents about a year ago if I could have one (thats when I started wanting one) and they were really against it because they think that they smell and bite which obviously they can but not if you treat them well and train them.
for the past year I've been doing loads of jobs around the hous and being nice around the house, and I've started beggin for one again. my dads away so I havent begged him but mum is cracking! she really hates ferrets but I found a like ferret caresheet and im hoping that when I give it to them they will not mind me getting one.
I've spent hours and hours talking to my mum about how much I want a ferret and how I would only let it out in my room (which is quite big so it wouldnt be creul) ans she would not have to deal with it because I can be responsible for it and stuff. I told her that id pay for it and would looko after it really well.
I already have a snakk, lizard, terrapian, two cats and a dog and although its a lot of pets I look after them really well and love them to bits
I really want a ferret hopefully I will get one eventurly but I have to beg my dad when he gets back as well .

MY ADVICE FOR YOU:
just keep trying.
say that you will pay for it
and that your mum and dad will not have to come across it.
when you write out ferret information sneak in a couple of cute ferret pics to temt them to actually like ferrets.
with all my other pets I had to persuade my parents to get them and eventually it works so seriously just keep trying I am.

well im tring to convice my mom to get me at ferret but I think you should keep begging and thats what I will continue to do but keep on tring and just clean your room!

oh my gosh, same dilema! (sorta). I want a ferret, but my mom is afraid of them and think that they are just rats. we already have 2 cats but due to their bad behaviour we cant keep the cats. because of this, my parents are completely turned off by any types of pets. I have wanted a ferret for SOOO long but they wont let me. I have tried EVERYTHING to convince them. I think ill show some more responsibility, and write up an essay about costs, facts, good things, bad things, etc, and see if it works. you should do the same. the begging until they crack idea should only be used if you are really desperate and you have already tried (unsucessfully) the essay and responsibility things. hope I helped

well I think you need to make sure you have enough time for ferrets, they need to be out for more than 2 hours, more like 4+ hours a day. and they need to be watched the entire time because they will get into EVERYTHING
including climb anything they can and knock everything off of shelves,tables etc.

and just so you know ferrets think rats are food, and will attack them so you have to make sure they are not in the same room, it will stress the ferret out because it smells food, and stress the rats because they sense a predator.

also their food is expensive, and their shots mine was $100 per ferret
and a small bag of good food, NOT CAT FOOD, is around $20, and they go through it FAST
also you can't keep them in wood chips, they need old clothes, rags, etc to sleep in
NO CLUMPING CAT LITTER, its bad for their respritory system, you need ferret littler or yesterdays news litter

Ok I really want a ferret I find cheap cages and also I would do extra chores but my dad get so stressed out and also he HATES HATES HATES HATES HATES rodents!!! I have a hamster cause they cracked on that but I asked my mom if I can get a ferret after my hamster dies and my mom is SOOO strick!and also I ask her and the answer is just always NO NO NO NO NO! and also I can care for it!! but my mom and dad think that I am not responsable enough I will show iam responsible enough and keep on begging help out with food nad chores and stuff but still nothing she really doesnt wanna get me it I feed and groom my sisters dogs I groom the cats! I take care of all6 of our animals 2 cats and 2 dogs and 2 hamsters and I take care of them even though only 1 of them is mine! well I better get started I guess but still please help me! out some more with getting a ferret!
