Fear of roller costers

I have a fear of roller costers and my girl scout troop is going to an amusment park for a end of school year party. I don't like roller costers because of the big drops. And please don't tell me that roller costers are safe because I beleive that I just...

don't like big drops. I can't even go on the taco at sun splash. I don't like it because I am usally the brave one but not on roller costers.I really want to go on roller costers but I can't stand the drops. What should I do??

Not everyone likes roller coasters.

If being on one is only going to make you fearful and uncomfortable, then where's the fun in that?

Stick to the rides you know you'll like.

tell em that you dont like roller coasters you will be surprised if someone else in your troop doesnt like em either

but if you do get on one and the BIG drop comes just close your eyes and hold on tight to your friends sholder thats what I do lol

but I love da coasters...sometimes

I was always afraid of the big drops, still am. I just scream my head off during them and close my eyes. I love the twists and turns and such. try one of the smaller ones first and if you dont like it just spend time on snacks games and bumper cars!

Scream when you go down the big drops, it helps with the butterflies. I went on a roller coaster for the first time a couple of years ago, I almost chickened out, but I just went on anyway. It was over before I knew it. happy

Well no one goes on a rollercoaster because its boaring. They are thrill rides that people enjoy out of fear. Busch Gardens has a new one out that for the first time ever I actually couldnt help but scream (embarassing because I am a man). But when they go on these coasters remember they are just as scary to them as they are to you. So are you going to allow them to conquer their fear while you wait outside dominated by it? Every day look into the mirror and tell yourself you are stronger then everyone else. Trust me your mind gives you limitations that you can actually reprogram by telling yourself you can.
