Father v. boyfriend

Ok I love my dad and my boyfriend to death and my boyfriend wants to get along but my dad is foceed on my b/f's past. How can I get my dad to compremise so that I can still c my b.f. Wit out disobying my dad. B.c he said that if I go behind his back he wont talk to me and believe me he will do it he did to my sis alreadyl, but she didnt even tell dad bout having a b.f I atleast did. Plez help.

Hes just being a dad, if the guy has a bad past you have to expect him to wonder. My dads the exact same way with my sisters boyfriend and has been for like 5 years now. Chances are he wont get over it, your his daughter he has to look out for you even when you don't think he needs to.

What is it in your boyfriend's past that is upsetting your father? How old is your boyfriend?

If he already stopped talking to your sister, and now threatens you with the same, then I think he has something unhealthy motivation in his relationship with both of you and you sis. Sorry.
