I don't know. Maybe some people think that fat people don't take pride in their appearance and lifestyle. If they smell bad then... yeah... Or, if your buddy likes to take his shirt off and jump around, it can be gross sometimes.

it's not that people hate them cause of their looks (well some people do think like that), but it's the way they act and carry themselves. some of them are rude and act like slobs, but some are friendly and nice and stuff.

but it goes the same for thinner people, and different races.

its all about the way you carry yourself and act.
