Stay away from any soaps or anything that can dry your skin out.
I have the same problem with sensitive skin and find that an aqueous cream to wash my face with and something with aloe vera in it generally helps for the pain and discomfort.
Also cold water or a cold wet cloth on your face will help with the swelling and hot feeling.
