How do you put eyeliner on the top of your eye?

How do you put eyeliner on the top of your eye. Every time that I do it it turns out REALLY bad. I use a pencil.

you put it on your bottem eyelid on the top. it feels weeeird...

I used to have major problems with this (it's still usually hit or miss) but I found it helps to pull down my eyelid and then start from the inside going out, as close to the eyelashes as possible... keep your mouth opened slightly to relax the muscles...

why dont you close your eye and pull the upper eyelid outwards so that it becomes smooth and then apple the liner or otherwise purchase a liquid eyeliner. I dont close my eye for that one easy stroke and its done.

I did musicals in college and we had to put eyeliner on for every show. This is how I learned, it works great and just takes some practice. First, be sure the pencil is sharpened. Get close to the mirror, close the eye you are going to line and pull the outside corner towards your hairline, so the lashline is nice and straight across and smooth. Start at either end, and go slow. Don't press too hard, either. If you want a darker effect, you can always go over the line several times (I use a pencil too, as liquid seems to be too harsh and can't be softened so I don't look like a hooker). Try to stay close to the lash line, and just go for it. I got to the point I could line my eyes in 10 seconds during the play performances and the same technique still works the best for me. BUY THE LIQUID EYELINER THAT HAS A FINE TIP, AND IF YOU MESS UP JUST WET A Q-TIP AND REMOVE THE INPERFECTION IT CAN'T GET ANY EASIER THAN THAT!

I use a pencil eyeliner because its more easier for me than liquid eyeliner,
that kind makes my eyes water,but anyway when I use eyeliner to the top of
my eye I work from the outside to the inside, this way looks more fuller(thicker)
but you could also trace from the inside to the outside, which looks more thinner.

sharpen your pencil and soften the tip a bit on the back of your hand

close 1 eye and slightly keep it taut at the end

and draw your line a little at a time like this
