Eye lashes...why are they soo thin??

Okay so...I was wondering...is there a reason why my lashes seem soo effing thin? I wish they were thicker...maybe its normal I dont know...
I use mascara sometimes but...is that why they seem thin? I dont dig the whole...fake lashes you can buy in stores...but what do yoyu guys think? you have any ways I can get then thicker or is this just normal? am I the only one in this blueberry world gifted with thin lashes? haha "gifted" I was being sarcastic...

using mascara can damage your eyelashes and make them fall out
but everynight before I go to bed I use a clean mascara brush put vasaline on is and put it on like mascara then when I wake up in the morning my eyelashes look fuller and longer then I apply mascara
