Ever notice all the government spending ?

Asked by amblessed 7 months ago, 11 answers.

Ever notice it seems like all the government ever does is ask 'how much does that cost? Ok sure, spend it. Don't have it? Ok sure, print it then spend it.' ?

I picked this one randomly: '...When I am hungry, He feeds me! ...'

Your nation uses over 30% of the Earth's resources. That means that many people are hungry so you can sustain your lifestyle! You and your Jesus make me cry...!

...want me to react to more of your bullet points...?!

(by the way... your list is an exhibition of the self-inflated, self-absorbed obsession with what-the-universe-can-do-for-YOU and your childish concern with where YOU go after you die. It bellows out your desperate fight against your inevitable mortality and finiteness. And yes... you will have to pay more taxes; I think your Jesus said something in the Bible about that too...! Perhaps Marx IS closer to Jesus than you think...).

I can't be overdrawn. I still have checks left!'.
Yep, I see it amblessed. Unfortunately, the spending is normally not going towards anything useful or worth spending on!

Amblessed, I don't recall you complaining about this when George-never-vetoed-a pork-bill-Bush was in office.

But yes, I've noticed the spending for quite some time now.

Toadaly, sure I've been critical of Bush in the areas of spending, ignoring the non-enforcement of our immigration laws, etc - you haven't a clue as to what I've said where...here's a small sample of what I've also noticed - see any dishonesty here or dangerous policies ?

Obama criticized pork barrel spending in the form of 'earmarks,' urging changes in the way that Congress adopts the spending proposals. Then he signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress. 'Let there be no doubt, this piece of legislation must mark an end to the old way of doing business, and the beginning of a new era of responsibility and accountability,' Obama said.

There is no doubt that we've been living beyond our means and we're going to have to make some adjustments. -- Obama during the campaign.

This year's budget deficit: $1.5 trillion - CBO projected to be 9.3 trillion in 10 years - your children and grandchildren children's future.

What action did he take - Asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million -- a whopping .0027%!

Mine will be the most 'transparent' and 'ethical' administration ever - no lobbyists - He appointed Lobbyists and the 'Tax Cheat' to ensure you pay yours.

Amazing to learn that American veterans, those who dare oppose abortion, support the 2nd Ammendment of the Constitution, and express disappointment at the lax enforcement of immigration law, are labeled extremists by this administrations director of Homeland Security - Al Qaeda not even mentioned in her report - seems...Didn't the old Soviet Union label and target citizens of dissent of the government also and Tass (the willing press) co-operated ? - which is better: redistribute wealth or teach people the value of a work ethic ?

No American should support policies that take this country in the direction of Socialism, if you want to Love him and ignore where's he's taking this country...have at it - I will not !!...see, I DO pay attention.

Hey Amblessed,

Funny that you mention: '...no American should support policies that take this country in the direction of Socialism...'.

Here in Europe, Jesus is often seen as an early socialist... I just thought that especially you would have seen the link... Marx and Jesus are not that far removed from one another...

Just a few teeny weeny differences annv:

...JESUS:

He is the First and Last, The Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and the Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be ... Unmoved,
Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can't understand him,
The armies can't defeat Him,
The schools can't explain Him,
And The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him,
And The people couldn't hold Him!
Nero couldn't crush Him,
Hitler couldn't silence Him,
The New Age can't replace Him.
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God. He is Holy, Righteous,
Mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me. He is my Savior, He is my
Guide, and
He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and
He rules my life!
I serve Him because
His bond is love,
His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him
Because H e is the wisdom of the wise, the power of the powerful, the
Ancient of days, the ruler of rulers, the leader of leaders, the
Overseer of the overcomers, and is to come. And if that seems impressive
To you, try this for size. His goal is a relationship with ME! He will
Never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me,
And never cancel my appointment in His appointment book! When I fall, He
Lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody everywhere, every time, and every way. He
Is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world. So, if you're
Wondering why I feel so secure, understand this... He said it and that
Settles it.
God is in control,
I am on His side, and that means all is well with my soul. Everyday is a
Blessing for GOD Is - He is Risen !!
