Euthanizing a dog at home

I have an old bulldog and I want to be the one to send him to doggy heaven...how do I painlessly euthanize him at home?

I understand you love your dog but why or how would you get the strenght to do this to youre beloved pet you will always feel a little guilt for doing so no matter what you think right now please my advise is leave this to the vet and be there holding your dog andthewrefore you wont have the guilt of you been the one to take away life you will forever be happy knowing you have done the right thing or made the right choice good luck but be brave

the hosptial I work at will do home visits. So I would call up your vet and ask them to come to your house, this is a controlled drug to the vet would have to adminster it but atleast you would be there and the dog would be at home

I'm with Harley on this...call a large animial clinic...they do house calls to farms and ranches...and would most likely do this for a dog, too. I don't understand why you think YOU'D be the best one to send your dog to the bridge...unless you're cheap...in that case...a bullet. There's no guarentee of course that you'll do it right, or that it would painless. You might be setting yourself up for some real trauma.
