umm...yeah...are there any long-term consequences to losing your period due to an eating disorder?

Yup.

You've lost your period because your body simply doesn't have enough nutrients to produce female hormones required for your period to occur. This is super dangerous.

Without producing these hormones, you can delay puberty and eventually never create the hormones you need to be able to have kids.

This is on top of hair loss, fingernails breaking, and your organs shutting down.

im actually anorexic,
Since I've started this HUGE mistake I havn't lost my period or anything like what it says above. But I do agree with prkswllflwr these symptoms are serious and I don't think anyone wants them. I am seeking help as we speak so hopefully I will not have to endure this crap any longer.
