Eating problems, sleeping problems, and depression

Asked by anonymous_teen over 3 years ago, 6 answers.

Please Help!!!!!! A couple of weeks ago, I went thru a weird eating phase. I just quit eating and felt naeusiated (sp?) a lot. that only lasted a week. I know I have depression, I often have suicidal thoughts and find myself crying and thinking what's...

the point to anything? and now I have these horrible sleeping problems. sleep problems run in my family, everyone has them. I will be really tired, and go to sleep just fine, but I wake up after a while. sometimes it's after a few hours, sometimes it's after several hours, but I haven't getten a good night's sleep in a few weeks. oh, and I am 13.

Sweetheart please confide in a trusted adult you know. you should probably get your Mom or Dad to make you an appointment with a Dr. as soon as possible. If you feel like you can't talk to your parents go to your guidance counselor at school. Keep reaching out, there are people who care around you, you have to find them. Have you told any of your friends? If you have to, go to an emergency room.

If you feel like you may hurt yourself
before you get help from your parents or another adult, call 911. You matter! Get help okhappy

The person who replied below is exactly right! You should defiently talk to someone about this as soon as possible, we all here want to see you have a good life and you are only 13. Talk to anyone who will listen and that you can trust cares about you.

I hope you really take my advice. I'm 38 with 2 daughters, and I'd hate for either one of then to feel like you do. It may seem hopeless now, but I PROMISE YOU, that you can feel better. I have taken medicine for depression in the past and it helps. Life is never perfect, but you can enjoy it and want to live instead of die. PROMISE!

Ya main thing is to talk mate!

My gf suffers with alot of depresson and has self harmed and attempted suicide in the past. She does see a councillor but also when she is feeling really down we chat on msn, and basically she splurges about all her worries, how pointless everything is, why she thinks she'd be better dead and after about 30min-1hr she is splurged out. And totally cheers up.

Talk to your best friend, tell him/her all about it. And as has been said try to get yourself an appointment with a proffesional asap, especially if you feel like self harming.

Good Luck!

Well, one question that have is ... Have you told you parents or the person who is watching you?? I was like that, because my mom was a drug attic, and the worst thing is to have to put up with it by yourself.
