Ear piercing swollen and sore...please help.

I got my 3rd hole on my left ear pierced a few days ago,its been sore,red and swollen on the backk ever sense. I have 6 all together in my 2 ears and have never had this problem. there is no puss either...anyone got any ideas why its doing this?? I got...

it done at walmart,they pierced it with a gun,but all my other ear piercings was done the same way and never had this problem. so plzz help...any advice would b great. =]

THAT SUX and HRTS, I KNOW!!! ***I AM NOT A DOCTOR *** JUST PASSING ON A home-REMEDY that I HAVE used AND passed on to others for years!!! Hole was prob pierced 2 close to /or thru a nerve. 'Bottle of After-care solution:IF you bought or gt free from the 'piercer' NO MATTER WHAT the bottle says 'Post piercing-solution/wash/antiseptic, etc... chances are: it IS basically water and alcohol. Alcohol (great for First Aid to cuts and such, promotes 'scabbing')HOWEVER, PIERCINGS need to be kept 'clean', skin heals I.d. of hole... DO NOT WANT to promote a 'SCAB' for MOST piercings 'anywhere.' 'ALCOHOL' ACTUALLY absorbs all moisture as it evaporates, creating dryness/scab, demotes quick healing process for piercing. INSTEAD: USE ONLY FULL-STRENGTH 'HYDROGEN PEROXIDE' SEVERAL TIMES DAILY. With clean hands, saturate (HYD PER) onto a cotton ball. remove earring(s) especially from new hole!! Squeezing c. ball and gently rub the pierced area (EAR-front back sides). Continue even AFTER redness subsides. HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU!!! HAVEN'T HAD A COMPLAINT ON THIS OTC suggestion YET!!!

no way!!! ALCOHOL AND PEROXIDE WILL MAKE ANY PIERCING IRRITATED AND IS A FACT THAT IT WILL GET INFECTED. I KNOW THIS FROM EXPERIANCE. somebody else,plllz any other advice.?? lol

I would do a soak in various solutions:
camomile tea
hot water
diluted rubbing alcohol

Try and see which works for you. Rubbing alcohol will NOT infect your peircing, as long as you rinse it with clean water afterwards.

well it's better now. I stopped useing the aftercare solution, and I changed the earing and its not swollen anymore. soo im good.
