How can I get highlights if my mom won't let me?

ok I want to get some higlights but my mom wont let me.. what do you think I should do? I cant do them myself because I am 13 and I have no idea how!

I think you should obey your parent..smart and the right thing to do !

If your mother doesn't want you to get highlights then it is for good reason. I'm glad my parents didn't let me die my hair when I was younger.

The only way to get highlights is to bleach your hair, because you can't go lighter naturally. The ammonia that is usually used in lightening your hair will kill your roots, and therefore over time, your hair will start to fall out. That is why I look at all these girls today and just laugh. One day they will be just like my aunt, and will have to wear wigs because their hair dye made them go bald.
