Will i get messed up hair color?

I am dying my hair...Right now it is a light Orange and I was told to, Dye it a light brown as a fill color because my hair is to light right now and it wont turn out the color I want... I am trying to get a Copper color...then after the brown go ahead...

and Dye it the Copper color... Is that Right or will I get a Messed up hair color?

My natural color is a medium copper red. But I went blonde once and it was no problem to get back to my origional copper color, but brown is a different story. I decided to change it to brown then dicided I wanted my red back, first they had to bleach it to a dark blonde then they had to add a toner and only after all that damage could they dye it back to my copper color. My hair was absoulutly fried until a year later when it was half way out so I had to cut my hair short to stop it from breaking. So don't dye it brown then try red, go a dark cool blond instead.

It may turn an orange color, I do not recommend it. Try using a hair dye with a no brass packet, that may help.
