After the first try will i not be able to stop?

Ever since I was a kid I was taught in school that drugs like pot, would alter my mind with one try, I'd get hook'd and my life would end up in the gutter, I'm a kinda popular guy at my school, and I've been offered pot and other substances, I say no...

but, I have this feeling kinda in the pit of my stomach that's telling me to try it,
the bottom line is I want to know if I try drugs, will my brain get all screwed up like the media potrays drugs. I Don't think so, but still, And is it extreamly addicting, after the first try will I not be able to stop?

I dont think you will After the first try... I wouldnt do a bunch of drugs tho..

I was offered xanax for the first time, I tried it and I was hooked.
just last year I finally became clean and sober.

I'm not saying that you can get hooked right away, but there's a very good chance you will. I don't recomend you even try. But it's your life.

okay all drugs can be addicting including pot...I tried weed when I was 11 years old and I did it every now and then thru out middle school in high school is when I started to experiance other drugs...pot is a gate way drug it opens the gate to other drugs so yea you can get addicted...

Pot is not physically addicting it is habitual.
People can get addicted to anything including simple things such as shopping, if you have an addictive personality you most likely will get addicted. I Highly doubt though that after one hit you'll be hooked for life and that your life will fall down the drain. I know people who smoke daily who have legitimate careers. Im not saying go do drugs by any means! but I am saying what the antidrug companies say a lot of the time is absolutely twisted.
