No no no.
This is a cruel and pathetic behaviour trait which says a lot about the owner who thinks a dog is no more than a dolly, or worse a little furry baby. Icky behaviour that is not harmless, it is sick. A dog is not a likkle furry person, it is an animal that requires completely different attention than playing dressing up.
For the sad deficients that need to do this, might I suggest buying a doll or failing that, piano wire. The only thing sicker than dressing animals is sexualising young children and entering them in child pageants.
PLEASE resist from this type of needy behaviour.

Why not if the dog doesn't mind. Dogs love attention and know when they are pretty. Follow your heart and what makes your dog happy. Don't ask us. <<
oh dear god, you need help.
I have a perfectly long-ilving Shih-Tzu, and I have to say, the dog experts may not have their facts straight:
1. We feed our dog table food. They say, no, no no, we say what we're eating is healthy, homemade, good food! Yes, she eats table food, our Winner, and she lives a whole lot more than other Shih-Tzu dogs. Home truths.
2. Clothes...THEY ARE NESSECARY!!! Trust me, is it's rubbish like, jewelery, all those shimmery, sparly, dangly things, then NO, NOT A SMART IDEA! But when it comes to winter, boots, coats, it's neccesary for my dog to keep warm. And it's loosel comfy for her- I'm not lying-she LOVES it. Especially since my grandma gives her mightmare haircuts. HOW IS THIS ANIMAL CRUELTY WHEN IT BENIFITS THE DOG?! Say, she's wearing a plaid gingham pink dress right now! It's comfortable. Comfort is what you should look at when buying clothes!

Do you think it is wrong for people do dress their dogs? I am getting a little girl pug next march and I am debating whether or not I want to buy her clothes. I know that they might sometimes annoy her, but like my cousin has a winter coat for her little mixed breed dog and I think that is maybe a good idea because it protects him, but I still debate because I just don't know if it is going to hurt or annoy her. Adivce please!
