How do I get over loving my best friend?

Well I need help to get over my best friend. We went out four times and he dumped me each. I know I gotta get over him cause like each time I see him I think about the past and what we use to do when we’re together. And it really hurts and it makes me cry. I think I’m in love, but on the other hand I’m not sure. I just think it’s a really deep crush or sumthing. Well how can I get over him?? I can’t just avoid him cause we’re best friends. HELP PLEASE!! NEED AS MUCH ADVICE I CAN GET!! THANX FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HELPS ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!

It’s always hard to get over a deep crush, I think you’d know it if you were in love. Even though you can’t avoid him, you can certainly avoid being ALONE with him, make sure when you’re around him you keep in friendly and there are plenty of your other friends around to distract you/make it so you can’t focus in on how much you like him. Also, take some opportunities to just hang out with your girl friends, and don’t bottle up how you feel!! Let your good friends know what you’re going through and talk about it, if you bottle it up you’ll never move on. Always remember you need to move on from your past to get on with your future- and also try flirting with other guys, it’ll help to try to find other guys you could like and to get back out there and move on.
