Does this sound familiar today?

Asked by amblessed over 2 years ago, 6 answers.

I was reading: During World War II the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work. They gave the script to their famous broadcaster Tokyo Rose and every day she...

would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways. The Japanese hoped it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale. The message had three main points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war.

The article asked: Does this sound familiar today?

Golly, sounds just like all the liberal politicans and the media.

Must be that the president's low approval ratings are due to traiterous liberals in the media demoralizing us rather than the bankrupcy of his ideas or the incompetance of his actions. Is that what you are implying?

Implying ?...you'd have to ask the writer of the article his/her intended implications, if any.

Sounds a bit like the anti-Bush stuff, probably replacing illegal with immoral.
It's funny how history repeats itself in different ways. Never fails.

I thought it was an excellent 'food for thought' question considering the same 3 points are being are being put forward today - makes me wonder why the push to undermine our troops today...it is obvious and makes no sense to me as an American.
