I believe Christ existed as a good honest man but he DID NOT preach Christianity nor any of his Teachings were strongly preserved !! His message was corrupted !!

The reason is that Christianinty is based on brainwashing- or what they themselves would call faith. The brainwashing is particularly sucessfull in mentally imprisoning the followers, because they are led to believe that questioning their religion means being damned to hell.
Modern religions would never get away with such brainwashing.

Lots of bible stories are just that- stories. Many have been proven inaccurate, and many writings have been found that contradict the ones in the bible (like Mary , at the age of 12, being raped by a roman soldier) but most Christians, particularly Catholics, don't want to know that.

I haven't heard there was no crucifiction- I would be interested in the source of that story if you have any more info...
Theres also the question of how much relationship our corrupt English translations even bear to the original verions.

If you are arguing that Christianity is incorrect because a specific event in history never occured than that is something that can be discussed.

Not even all Christians believe Jesus was crusified. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was executed on a wooden stake rather than a cross and that the cross is a pagan symbol that should have no place in Christianity.

You where raised in another religion and so you don't believe Christianity there is nothing wrong with that...I am Christian and I was raised Atheist but I can not look at this beautiful world and say there is no God...and evolution is contently changing and then even dis proofing it self. You religion works for you AND what I have come to believe works for me better then anything else does..an interesting thing to consider though all other religions say do and Christianity is the only one that says done. When Jesus died for our sin he completed the final act..we don't have to do anything to get to heaven except realize what he has dome for us and trust in him ..and he forgives us of our sins. Unless you don't believe in Heaven and Hell then you should think about that it is already done.

The act of crucifiction was reserved for the people who were considered the enemies of the Roman empire. History books have shown that Roman soldiers would crucify people upside down or in long rows with their judgments placed over head. The reason was to show the world what happened to those who defied Roman rule or to make an example of them to others not to do the same as those being crucified. This death was one of if not the most horrible kind of death because you were fair game to the people walking by. Not to mention the birds who would eat the rotting flesh off your body. The pain was beyond description.
The Jewish leaders of Jesus' day plotted to kill Him. But how? Do it themselves? They'd have a civil war amongst the Jews. Decision? Let Rome do it for them. The Jewish leaders gathered together and plotted how they would carry out this heinous plot. End result? Jesus' arrest, mockery of a trial, and subsequent death on a Roman cross. To be made an example to those other Jews who would defy their religious system.
To say it never happened is nothing short of wrong. Does Christianity exist? Yes.
As far as being brainwashed goes, it doesn't. I made a mature and conscious choice based on rational thought and thorough questioning and doubts. I did not go in blind. Sure, I had many doubts about the so called inconsistancies and inaccuracies. That's why I never, ever take what someone says to be true unless I do the research myself.

What's really funny about all this is that none of us was there so really, we only know by personal experience if Jesus really exist or if he was crucified etc. See, I wasn't brainwashed to believe in Christianity...I actually called on Him because I needed Him to save me. I wasn't raised in the church. I just called on His name and He came to my rescue. You don't have to believe in Him if you don't want to...but..if He heals your pain, fills your emptiness and change your heart for the better and the hearts of those around you (if you ask Him too) then why wouldn't you want to believe in Him? People think that Jesus came to rain on their parade but in reality...he came to give us an abundant life. People look at the mistakes of other people to explain away Jesus..this doesn't make sense...Jesus was not just an average man so He wouldn't make mistakes like the average man would. Plus, a lot of people who claim to be Christians really don't represent the love that a Christian is supposed to. So, by their ill actions, they cause people like yourself to doubt the reality of Him. That's like someone saying...'Look at those Americans...look at how they act...the president doesn't exist'. See it doesn't make sense. The followers don't always represent the leader. So, don't judge God by looking at the mistakes of man.

PS...no one has evidence that the crucifiction didn't exist. If they did, it would be all over CNN and every other liberal news channel. The only evidence they have is the absence of evidence. That's probably because God raised Him from the dead so His body was not found in His grave. Who made us the authority on God anyway? We are just mere humans...how dare we even think that we have the power to debunk any religion. They bible even says that we only know in part. The Holy Spirit of God reveals to us all truths. This is how I came to my conclusion. I asked the Holy Spirit to lead me to truth. I just told God one day...'I just want to know the truth'. Then, He lead me to Jesus Christ. No brainwashing, no rituals, no ceremonies...just a simple question I asked Him...He answered me and He continues to teach me things everyday with the guidance of His Holy Spirit. Ask and you shall recieve Unless, you don't want to know the truth. You have a choice to live a lie or live in truth. Which will you choose?

I have to agree that every religion has it flaws, but christianity is real and it exists.

I know that this was mentioned earlier, but the Crucifixion of Jesus is actually one of the least disputed claims of Christianity. Crucifixion was a common form of punishment for the Roman Government in place in Palestine at that time. Where Christianity is based on is not the crucifixion, that would simply another criminal was tried and convicted of a capital offense- end of story. The problem is that Christianity claims that Jesus rose from his death. This is something that could only be done by God. Dying is something anyone can do.

I don't appreciate it but after reading all that you have written on this page it doesn't bother me at least one bit coming from a person that attacks other religions just because he doesn't believe in them. People have the right to believe in what they want period. You don't believe in the crucifixion of Jesus, fine, don't its up to you. As for Christianity, there's no way that you could prove it doesn't exist. If there are people out there that believe in the religion and follow it, it's real. ALL religions are based on many belief's and idea's about the universe. To the people that believe in those religions its real. I believe that your religion is real because you believe in it and other people do as well. I believe my religion, Christianity, is real because many others and I believe in the religion. I would think that if someone was to attack your religion, as the way your doing now, you would be unhappy about it. I believe everyone has a right to their own opinions and to voice them but only in a positive manner. For a majority of your posts you've mentioned science and the validity of what it has uncovered. First, I have studied to a certain extent, I can't say I know everything, Islam, Judaism and Christianity because there's so much, yours and other religions and have read several things about science verses religions. Your using science to explain things when science is the one thing that works against all religions, such as the 'Big Bang Theory' and the human evolution. In science there is no god(s) because there is nothing to prove it other than writings and such. Science is meant to prove how the world works without religion and to use it the way you are is slightly redundant. Your religion, and if I'm incorrect please inform me, believes in one god that created the world but science is trying to prove that the world was formed by a huge explosion of gases and that man has evolved from species similar to apes.

You have a right to voice your opinion but should do it respectfully towards other religions and the people that believe in them. I would never ask you to change your religion or belief's. The Qur'an teaches peace not war. Why are you trying to express your feelings about Christianity so negatively? If Islam is not flawed, then why are the Sunnis and Shiites, Sha'I, fighting each other? The Sunnis believe that Muhammah didn't designate a successor while the Shiities believe that he did, wouldn't that be considered a flaw and different belief's in one religion? Osama bin Laden speaks the words of the Koran yet he uses it as an excuse for the terrorist attacks on the U.S.A. If the Quran is supposed to teach peace then why is it that instead of calling a meeting or a peaceful way to get together to explain the problems bin Laden attacks?

There are many similarity's between Christianity and Islam as well. We both believe in one God, that Jesus lived, that there is life after death and have a place of worship, Christians-church, chapel, cathedral and Islam- mosque. The Bible is changing so people in this century can comprehend it much better, the messages stay the same. Judaisism was founded around 2090 B.C.E., Christianity around 33 A.D.E. and Islam in 622 A.D.E. All of these relgions are similar and Islam has branched out from Judaism and Christianity just like Christianity branched out from Judaism.

Have have a few questions for you as well:
1.) Have you read the Bible?
2.) Why would you bring what you believe about Christianity up in such a negative way?
3.) Isn't it enough that we at least all believe in God, Allah?
4.) If the Koran speaks peace, then why would you say such negative things?

There are flaws in every religion and there will always be those who disagree with what you believe in whether they believe in something else or are just a rebel against doing what others around them are doing. This post is going to go on forever because everyone has different beliefs and certain people will have a hostile opinion towards the way you brought this post up and some of the things that have been said just like you would be unhappy about some of the things that people would say about your religion. I accept you and your beliefs and I would expect that you would do the same towards others and I. Would you dicriminate against someone who wasn't your race but believed in the same religion that you do? Or someone who doesn't have the same hair or eye color?

I'm not trying to exploit the followers of Islam, but you say that it is error free yet the followers, who are a part of the religion, have little to do with it. I also don't understand the fact that you would tell others to read the Quran, yet you said you haven't read the Bible. That really makes no sense to me; you want people to read the Quran but you won't read the Bible. You say you wouldn't waste your time but couldn't Christians and others not of your religion say the same thing about reading the Quran?
