Do you think its right to fight?

Is it right for someone to strike another if their life is not in immediate danger? I don't think its ok. And forget about the law and tell me what YOU think.

I think I is perfectly ok to fight, but only if there is a reason for it, you also have to keep in mind that people fight for fun, such as boxing and tai fighting. but if there is an obviouse reason (that is acceptable) that the two persons are fighting, it is completely ok. the law has it outlawed just for the fact that its easyer to control. and also the government (if you live in the U.S.) are kind of control freaks, and search for a Utopia, which if you are a decently educated human being, will know that is VERRRY unlikely to happen, especialy in todays world

Of course it isnt! Besides, so many people are so quick to sue for anything these days.

If people just go out looking to fight someone or jump someone just for the fun of it (happened to friends of mine) it's not alright at all. I would never start a fight but if someone hits me I'm protecting myself. I don't think just because 2 people are mad at each other that they should fight.

I think that it depends on the situation.
for example, it someone is yelling in your face and you tell them 2 stop or to leave you alone and they dont and they shove you, I think it's ok to defend yourself cause if you dont, they will consider you a wimp and think of this as an open invitation to torment you for as long as you do nothing. I think that as long as the other person puts their hands on you 1st, in a negative or agreessive manner, it is obviously ok to defend yourself.
