Here in the US we have many (confusing) ways to cover health costs. Most have to do with partial payments and benefits that many companies give to their employees. The military, some government workers, and the poor do get free health coverage.

(I was going to give you my situation, but after a few sentences my head was spinning, so I gave up.)

Have a great day. Bye-bye.

I have to pay in France, but then my husband's company health insurance covers some of it, while most of the rest is paid by a national insurance. I love the British NHS (not perfect but such a good thing), but since I've come to France I've noticed some things are better over here - access to specialist doctors and professionals like Speech Therapists is much quicker, as there are more of them. I presume that's because here they respond to market forces.

In Australia generally NO, but it depends where you go...you may need to pay a small amount...our government looks after us...since we do pay our taxes, right?
