Depends what courses you take, don't take applied buisiness, it's hell!
I'm currently doing my history and it has to be in before Friday, I also have Geography to be in for them, unless you have a lot of time on your hands, I advise you don't take more than one humanity.
Begin to revise in year 11, in little and short sessions, good luck!

Hmm it was a lot, because for some insane reason I took 10 classes (yeah I dunno), I also didnt study till last minute. None of this was smart. I'd do as many practise papers as possible. Our eng teacher used to keep us after school every week to do a practise paper. I would recommened doing one on your own if your teachers dont demand it...

I took my GCSEs last year and I have to be pushed to work when I am at home (study leave) because otherwise I won't bother. It's not usually much, just depends how much you know of the subject.
For example:

You know a lot in French, it will come easy to you than people that hate French.
You hate History, therefore you won't remember or listen much in History.

Try to get along with the teachers, the more you get on with them, the easier the lesson will be for you. Meaning if you can do the homework it will be done quicker because you knew what you had to do and how.

People work differently. I don't remember things. Therefore I crammed everything in at last minute and I passed with As and Bs.

Throughout your courses your teacher should do revision lessons particularly before exams. You should also try putting in a bit of revision whenver you can (which is what I need to be doing lol). But basically the more effort you put in the more that will be rewarded.
