Not sure what you mean by believe in I believe they exist. I assume you mean do I believe they are good.

Abortion: sometimes the lesser evil.

Capital punishment: ineffective and unnecessary

Torture: inexcusable

Abortion takes a Life.

Capital Punishment when warranted - murder my daughter or loved one, you bet !!

Torture - sure if it leads to information which will save American lives - my family and yours.

yea, stephanie's right... you can't abort a life, if there's baby's healthy. you can't give capital punishment if not necessary, and torture, depends on the case..

I believe in a child’s right to live.

I am not a big supporter of the death penalty.
-I believe that prison is the biggest waste of talent. I have seen a lot of very smart people make dumb choices.
-I believe that prison can be a form of rehabilitation. Put them to work, and in trade school. All money they make after offsetting their incarceration cost could be given back to them to give them a head start on their release.
-Death penalty should only be used in the rare case that the prisoner has no remorse and can not function within the population of prison.

I think that if we know someone has information of a ticking time bomb we should exhaust all possible avenues of persuasion. (Yes I support torture)
-I do not believe that water boarding is torture. It pouring water over someone’s head to get them to gag and think they are drowning although the victim is in no real danger. Let me put it to you this way, I would much rather go through water boarding then go to the dentist.
-I also think that sleep deprivation isn’t torture either.

Well I am not going to go out of my way to get waterboarded for no reason. Lets say for charity or educational purposes I would.

tseirpeht - If your son was being held by a foreign goverment without due process, and he was waterboarded 180 times in a month, would you consider that torture?

It doesn't matter whether you think it is should be illegal. The US government already has in the past, and prosecuted people for it.

Capital Punishment when warranted - murder my daughter or loved one, you bet !!

Amblessed, is this what christ taught you about forgiveness?

It was actually over 200 times. But it was not 200 sittings, it was the amount of times they poured water over their heads. To be honest I would be releaved they were waterboarding him instead of decapitating him as must countries do.

I do have a question which is how can you justfiy killing an innocent life but not a guilty life? Also Jesus did support the death penalty, he was opposed to vigilante justice. Jesus taught forgiveness but that is for the individual, government is a different story.

tseirpeht, you keep trying to make it sound benign, and keep ignoring the fact that IT IS ILLEGAL ACCORDING TO US LAW! I also noticed you didn't answer the question. If it were being done to your child, or parent, or spouse, would you consider it torture?

When have I ever justified killing an innocent life? If you think christ would condone capital punishment, you know nothing about your own religious belief. Most christian religions, condemn capital punishment
