Are you in the second grade?
if is normal super basic division, not at all.. we started learning multiplication and division during the very end of 2nd grade, and really focused on learning it in the 3rd grade.
Let's see...school year ends when? Some where around last part of May or first week in June, right? Ok, so let's see..today is March 9th, so that means there is only about two months left for school year to be over. It seems to me that teaching division to second graders is right on time.
Hmm I learned multiplication and division in the 3rd grade, and I was 6...
So I dont see why some of them couldnt learn it, I really wouldnt expect all of them to get it though...
In China they learn division in grade 1 so it's not that bad for kids in north america to be learning it in grade 2. I learned in grade 3
oh a person I know is learning division thats why
bubblygurl,
You are not supposed to be on FunAdvice unless you are 18. We all can see that you are very young (second grade). Please don't come back until you are of age.
Do you know why I say this? Because I care about you, we all care about you, and there are a lot of mean adults that would love to cause you trouble and may hurt you.
Take my advice and wait until you are old enough (18) to be able to protect yourself from the mean ones.
It depends. If I had learned division that early (my school didn't teach it until grade 6!!!) it would have made the transition into another school 10x easier!
I think they are ready to learn division towards the end of the year.
Yes. I didn't even learn multiplication until third grade. Then we learned simple division (like 10/5) and in 4th grade, long division and remainders and stuff.
no long division mabye but yes simple division is ok in second grade I could do this all in kidegarden but im in gifted so I wouldnt know im going in to 6th (summer rocks!!!)
if you are going in to sikth post word waffls not waffles only waffls

Do you think division is too advanced for 2nd graders?
Send me Fun Mail
