A large segment of the under 5 population really believes in Santa.
no I never have, even when I was a kid, but that's only because my mom was a horrible liar at pretending to be santa.
Well, when I was a little child. When I was under eight years old. I believe in the SPIRIT of Santa Clause, I don't really believe a rotund old man is going through a Chimney to bring me presents.
It ruined the belief for me when I was younger, because my mom would ask me if I was pinching and shaking the presents and I would deny it, and I looked (Still do though) at the Name Tag to see who it was for, and if it was for me, some would say 'To Emily, from Santa'. That's how I know. And my mom said I was too 'old' to believe. I, along with my cousins Tiff and Dina found out at six & Seven as well.
I was a naughty kid.
I agree with Emma.
I love Christmas and believe in the spirit and the magic of Santa, or Father Christmas as he is better known in Britain.
I uesed yo not any more though
Sure and around the world, he's a plump white-bearded and red-suited old man in modern folklore who delivers presents to good children at Christmastime - so be good !!
There was a bishop called Nicholas ( later to be St Nicholas ) who delivered presents to less fortunate childen of his village who's parents couldn't afford to give them gifts to celebrate the birth of jesus ( that being what christmas actually is). When he died, the people continued giving gifts labled ' from bishop nicholas ' to keep his memory alive.
I do beleive in that St Nick ( although I don't know how or why he came to be called Santa ). My parents taught me the comercial version of Santa, but when I grow up and have children of my own, I'm going to teach them the historical and, in my veiw, far more wholesome and heartwarming ( not forgetting truer ) version.
Santa is not real. Only kids believe that.

Do you think that santa is real?
Do you americans really believe in santa ?
