Asked by sadprincess about 1 year ago, 9 answers.

Well I am thinking of going to a school in America or Canada and I want to know if people actually get bullied and pushed around like how I see on t.v.

Yes, kids get bullied at school. It happened so much that a school called Columbine happened to get almost bombed and a lot of kids got shot. It doesn't happen so much anymore but it still happens. And not because you're ugly. Don't believe everything you see on T.V. most of it isn't too true. I mean there is some truth to it but television usually blows things out of proportion. When a kid gets bullied that bully is trying to be something and make him or herself feel bigger then they really are. Some are just mean but most of the time it's an ego thing. Kids in the USA are mean and kind of ignorant because they aren't taught to be any different. If you play sports and bully someone by picking on them then your actions will be excused because Kids will be kids I think that you could learn a lot in America by going to a countries public school system where we have a horrible education system in this country. And, to prove my point, instead of giving you actual advice, amber thinks meat is murder decided to tell you that if you are ugly then you will be bullied. I think you should goto school in Canada. You might actually get an education. But, we do have some pretty decent private schools in the U.S. But those schools are rather pricey (if money is no object then don't worry about it) but those schools have an absolute no tolerance to bullying of other kids. So, hope that helps. If you want to know anything else send me an e-mail at this site I guess.

Dear sadprincess,
Yes, every school in every country has problems with bullies. Some schools have very rigid policies about this. All schools have support systems, counsellors and teachers who are able to help. It has nothing to do with looks, grades, creed, colour. Bullies know no boarders and it can affect anyone and everyone. The key is for you to learn how to ignore, report and protect yourself...this is advice for everyone in school.
Sue...good luck

Everywhere you go, no matter where the school is. You will have trouble with bullies. Hell, I had trouble with it in a private school. How much trouble the issue is depends on the school. The school I am going to now doesn't have nearly as bad of a problem as some other school I've been too.

Maybe you should go to a small school! I go to a 1A and there was hardly any bullying, just the kids picked on one teacher that was sexiest and showed favoritism. A few people did get picked on though. I didn't though because I wasn't one of those fake kids and told you what I thought and stuff like that.

You shouldn't get bullied if you stand up for yourself. Learning how to function in society is very important. If you learn how to deal with bullies in school growing up you won't have a problem later on in life.
