Do it yourself hair dying kits-brown to white blonde?

Tomorrow my best friend and I are porbably going to buy the do it yourself hair dyes in a box.
I really want to do the white blonde,but my hair is brown.
So how should I go about doing this?
Do I have to bleach it first?
And do they have the home...

bleaching?

Anyone?

but bleaching ALWAYS damages your hair
so its best to go to a salon first
that way you can get some tips and see how its really done
then the next time you need to bleach it or the roots youll do it the right way

I tried to do this once and failed miserably. You MUST bleach it first. They sell at home bleach kits, I got mine from Hot Topic. It will turn out to be a yellowish color and it will damage your hair. After a few weeks in the sun it will fade and look better. Just make sure you have somebody do it who knows what they are doing..

Don't bleach it. It's bad for your hair. I'm a brunette, too. What you do is you go to the salon (a GOOD one, not the cheap kind) and ask them to give you blonde highlights all over. When you get highlights, it's better for your hair and they don't bleach it. If you get highlights covering up all of your hair, you'll appear blonde without hurting your hair.

I did it at home.
Hairs fine,and it looks great.

honey I am the one to listen 2!!! I have DARK brown hair, and I am now a WHITE blonde lol
ookk sooo you should buy frost and tip with the cap and leave it in for 90 minutes. And do it during the day, so you can sit outside and the sun. The heat will help it change faster and make it more blonde. and another tip is to put a bag over your hair. GOOD LUCK and tell me how it turns out hearts;sb

You're on the right track.
You need to firt gat a pre-lightener, do that first and your hair will be yellow-orange. Then you can buy a boxed white blonde bleach. I fit is still a bit yellow, you than use a silver or white toner.
All of these can be bought in a chemist. (aka ''drug store'')

My hair is blond and black because a few months ago I died it blond on top and black on bottom and today I died the whole head a hazelnut brown thinking it will go brown. when I washed it and dryed it out the blond has gone an ugly red and the bottom has gone nice.I want to dye my hair back to blond and then but honey comb in with white bleachy blond but I dont know where to start with this Redish Brownish colour. please e-mail me on Fun mail me
