Do i have to give a 2 week notice?

This is my problem. I am a Cosmotelogist and Nail Tech (graduated from both) I am working at a salon, I found out that I have allergies with the acrylic, and I mostly work with that. The doctor told me to leave ASAP and forget about the job and to think...

of my health first. Do I still have to give a 2 week notice or should my employer understand because it is a health condition? Please I need some help! Please and thank you

If it's for health reasons, you do not have to give notice.

no not at all if it is in any way a health issue then you never have to give notice. so if when applying for a new job one day and they ask about prior employment and why you left. simply tell them this and they will understand.

To cover your rear get a note from your doctor expressing this, make a copy and give the copy to where you work. (They may even be able to employ you where you will not be exposed to the acrylic.)
Or you can still quit, but having that note may help you in the future.
