Do i have to buy this to play online

Well we all heard of command and conquer zero hour well my brother downloaded it for me on my computer but when I go to play online it say my serial code is not right I really want to play online ( since the computer getting a bit easy) do I have to...

buy it to get the right code or is there some way I can get it without buying it?

Perhaps google around for a KeyGen for it, Should give you a program that pops out a list of CDkeys, you could try installing with one of them perhaps?

there is no legal way without paying for it... you can get a cracked version but it wont work online... this must be what you have...
