Did lawsuits contribute to the terrible california fires?

Asked by amblessed over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

Those terrible California fires - I read where often, environmentalists bring lawsuits that prohibit the cleaning out of underbrush that acts as kindling in those areas - Is this true and a contributing factor there ?

Could be, the environmental laws in Oregon have contributed over the years to fires there. The problem is in Oregon (and I imagine here in CA as well) that the environmental legislation goes too far right or left, nobody wants to see a happy medium kind of solution.

Been trying to reach my friends in San Diego all day, too, with no luck...I hope they everybody else are OK down in SD.

Definately, we all need to send our thoughts/prayers to those affected by this disaster - some lost lives, so many houses gone, so many irreplacable memory items destroyed - lives altered.
