Did jesus christ claim divinity? accodring to the bible?

Hello Asked by johnathan 14 days ago, 8 answers.

No Jesus Never Claimed Divinity, with these simple statements. Jesus NEVER CLAIMED DIVINITY.

IF ANYONE CAN READ THIS, THEN DO IT NOW. CAUSE JESUS SAID THIS...JESUS:

(I) My Father is greater than I. [The Bible, John 14:28]

(ii) My Father is...

greater than all. [The Bible, John 10:29]

(iii) …I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…. [The Bible, Mathew 12:28]

(I've) …I with the finger of God cast out devils…. [The Bible, Luke 11:20]

ELI ELI, LAMA SABUCHTANI!

OH GOD OH GOD WHY HAVE THOUGH FORSAKEN ME?

A mere man who has to go to the call of nature, is GOD? :P

When did God have to go and use the restroom or eat or drink? If he is all mighty.

And how can God die on the cross? If he is almighty?

JESUS DIDN'T WRITE THE BIBLE FOR SURE!

Not sure where you are going with this. In the Bible stories Jesus is divine. He has a special relationship with God and god-like powers like healing the sick, raising the dead, turning water to wine, etc.

The Biblical foundation for the trinity (as commonly understood anyway) is sketchy at best though.

Um...every Christian (and non Christian who's got half a brain studied) knows that Jesus didn't write a single word of the modern Bible (aka, new testament).

For that matter, Mohamed didn't write the Qu'ran either, right?

And, I'd be willing to bet that other prophets also didn't write the holy text that ascribes their deeds with holiness. So, exactly what is the point of this?

Actually, Pakistan is a pretty Muslim country...and, since Jesus is a recognized prophet in Islam, I'd expect somebody FROM Pakistan to already know the answer to this question...so I'm confused.

You’re absolutely right. In fact, the prophet Mohamed was illiterate, knowing neither how to read nor write.
This clearly indicates the divine nature of the Quran :
1) It excludes any possibility that he made the Quran by himself.
2) He could not copy what he could not read from other sources.

The Quran was revealed in Arabic to the prophet Mohamed via the angel Gabriel.
He would receive the revelation and then convey it to his followers.
The entire Quran was memorized word for word by some of the prophet’s companions (the Arab society was known by memory and oral transmission).
The Quran was also recorded in writing by some of his literate companions.
Muslims recite regularly the Quran as an act of worship, especially in daily prayers.
Finally, the Quran has been preserved in both oral and writhen form.

Jesus did claim that He is God and that can be seen throughout the scriptures. To show a few:

1. I am the first and the last - claimed by God in Isiah 44:6 and claimed by Jesus Rev 22: 13
2. He though it not robbery to be equated with God - Philip 2:6
3. Jesus called Mighty God, and the Father - Isiah 9:6
4. Jesus claims that He is the father - John 10:30, 12:45
5. Jesus is the Creator - John 1:1, Rev 3:14

The Bible also says that the Holy Spirit is this same God:
Rom. 8:9, Matt. 10:10, Matthew 12:28 are just a few verses.

The Bible says the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit ( which is the same as God and Jesus). Some verses : Acts 28:25, Heb. 3:7-8, 2 Peter 1:2021, Acts 1:16, Mark 12:36

Therefore all the verses that claims that Jesus is God can be considered as Jesus' claims.

So He does claim that He is God and He is God.

The divinity of Jesus is a debate the early church engaged in, so those closest to the source weren't even sure about it.
