Did i poison my dog?? :(...

I forgot about the grapes... I ate a stuffed grape leaf and did not like it - so I fed it to my dog not thinking... Grapes!!! so, she is trying to puke up the stuff I think not all the time and does not seem to be sick - maybe a sick belly... I read...

grapes cause kidney failure in as much as 9 grapes - so I am kind of freaked... anyone know.

If this is the first time you gave them to her I doubt she will get sickk from eating them once as long as it wasnt too many.

No. My dog eats all sorts of fruits and veggies. Grapes don't kill dogs.

I'm pretty shure she's ok because.. My dog also eats fruits and stuff .. He evan ate all my chocolate candy from Halloween and I thought he was going to die but he was never sick or any thing

Yes, my dog used to eat my easter basket every year (wrappers and all) and it never seemed to do anything to her. My dog now eats every fruit and veggie in the book, raw. She picks them off the plants herself. I'm sure your dog is fine from one grape.

TAKE IT TO THE VET ITMEDIATLY BECAUSE GRAPES ARE POISONIUS TO DOGS AND THERE IMMUNE SYSTEM

if you are worried get a vets advice hun. a dog that keeps coughing as if to be sick needs to be looked at by a vet. maybe the thing you fed to the dog has got stuck in his/her throught. call your vet a.s.a.p.

just because they eat stuff once and they turned out ok does not mean it won't kill them the next time. I do know raisans as few as 9 in a large dog caused irreversible kidney failure, motrin will do the same thing, choc. will harm them but it just takes longer. if it says don't give it then you better not do it. the dog that eats any fruits and veggie's pls get on the internet or your vet and educate yourself on food and what can be harmful. but most likely the one grape leaf won't do much. I am a nurse and listen to me kidney failure is not a pretty site, its a severe illness and also a death sentence. if your dog likes grapes I would cut down the grape vine, its worth it to save her life or at least put a fence around it. diane
