what is it like be cyber schooled?

i was wondering because i hate my new school and the kids hate me for no apparent reason, and im sick of it. but i heard its really boring and if your not responsible you wont do good because some kids just dont get on the computer to do their work. and a disadvantage is that if you dont get something you cant say to the teacher, that you dont understand. but other than that what is it like? and i also thought about a private school, but the only ones around where i live that i was able to find, were like some type of christian schools. and then i thought about dropping out, but thats not going to get me anywhere in life, and it will disapoint my family, so it looks like im stuck with cyber school, cuz my mom cant teach me at home, because she is just like me, and i dont know anything, and niether does she.

Online schools, or cyber schools requires you to have a lot of will-power to get yourself to work. You are responsible for doing the readings and handing in the assignments and homework on time. It is rather hard for a lot of people especially teenagers as when it comes to logging onto a computer, they’d rather chat, or watch videos. More than often, these readings and assignments are left forgotten. I am currently taking an online course and I am struggling with this also. I would forget to log in some days to do my readings and study i’d imagine cyber-school, would be much harder as it is more than just one course. Also, an advantage for actually going to school is that you can always ask for help when you need the help from teachers in person. Cyber-school, you’d email the person in charge and they can only help you through the internet. As for school, I was forced to go to a Catholic school but was not catholic. But it actually wasn’t that bad. We had to take one religion course, I don’t know how your schools may be like, but most of us thought of it as an easy credit, I never followed any of their practices or anything, stayed true to whatever I believed, and I met a lot of nice people there. As for your current school, especially in highschool there area always kids who are unliked and are going to unlike you, is it really so bad that you have to leave it? Is it something that can’t be sorted out or fixed?

You get lonely quite easily. You’d be amazed at how the environment of public schools, the being around people and friends, affects a person. Also those who are homeschooled or online schooled tend to not function in society as well. School is like a training program for working in the real world too, without obvious lessons or classes.
