Cupcake decorating idea for kids?

One of the fun things we did with our kids at a recent party was deocrate cupcakes. Does anybody have a fun cupcake decorating idea for kids?

You could make 'clown faces' or other childlike drawings with candy on top of the cupcake.

Some pretty wicked ideas that are very origional for decorating kids cupcakes:
1) let them paint with frosting
2) give them letters of the alphabet (candy ones) to write their names
3) give them stencils to fill in with candy / frosting, etc

put out different bowls with a HUGE selection of candy. They can have a better selection. maybe do a theme with like those little tiny umbrellas???

make like a 5 by 7 rectangle with the cupcakes and decorate that with frosting going all accross the top of them. I did that with kids that I watch and we did a flag because it was near the 4th
