I wish I could help more, But it was 42 years ago that I left Ft. Hood. I graduated from Killeen High School, and at that time my Dad - a US Army col. - was forming an armoured infantry brigade. It's a huge post. At that time it was the largest armoured post in the free world.
My best guess is for you to contact the EM, NCO, or Officer's Club - which ever applies - for more up to date info and answers to your questions.
For help on who else to contact possibly a near-by recruiting office might be of help.

Could use some info bout fort hood texas
So my husband is going active army, be leaving for infantry school the end of the month. I know sum info about texas seeing how I am from there, but I know nothing about fort hood. I have been to their website, looked at info, but I was wondering if...
