How can i get rid of my cough, or help it?

I am now just getting over my bronchitis. I still have a cough though. what can I do to get rid of it or at least help it.

if its a bad chesty cough still, get a chesty cough mixture that will help break up the mucus, and help you get it up. If it's a dry annoying cough, and there is absolutely nothing sitting on the chest at all, you could always get a cough suppressant. The suppressant actually stops the coughing reflex, and in turn stops the coughing. As long as you have no allergies to any codeine based medications, it should be fine to take.

For the chesty cough mixtures, look for something with Bromhexine or Guaiphenesin in it... or even both.

For a suppressant, look for a mixture that contains one of the following:
Codeine ; Pholcodeine ; Dextromethorphan.
I would usually go with the Pholcodeine, since it has less of a chance of causing constipation.
