Has anyone been to cork co., ireland?

Ever been to Cork Co. Ireland? my family tree is from there (and American Indian). My Dad just told me he is going there in two months.

I have! It was beautiful and very green. I took loads of pictures too. The only thing I didn't like too much was the food, there was a lot of meat and I don't eat much meat...

It appears my family tree stretches all the way back to Cork. My dad is begging me to go in March. It's a long trip and I'm not sure if I want to put out the money, time and effort just to end up in Cork. Oh yes, we will be spending time in Dublin too. Been there, how is that city?
