How to convince my parents to let me go after college?

parents never let they kids go they will always ove u and look after u evan when u are grown up its hard for parents to let they kids go

well… I don’t us to have an argument when I do leave them. I am grateful that they took care me, after all.

Your an adult you can leave and make your own life. of course its hard for them to let you go they raised you and you’ve been there with them since birth, but eventually it won’t be an arguement and they’ll be just as happy with visits. I know when i was 18 and decided to move out my mom was bitter at first but then she just came up with excuses to have me come visit her and talk. She’s just as happy now with that. =)

lol I know that feeling, my grandmother still treats my father like a lil kid and he is 53 xD…but she is learning just now to be less motherly…but at least she still cares right?

my father isnt like that to me at all and neithr was my mother. I was quite independet in my thoughs and actions and my parents trusted me to make the right choices in my life.

i know what you mean its like with me and my dad when mum is in Quiestion i can go alone for example in shop are anywhere i like she trust me and she tells me that i am young and grown up and that i need my freedom.But my dad is different he is controling but he loves me in his usual way but if i want to go out alone NOOOOO my brother has to go with me are nothing lol but its getting better because i say NO i love u and respect you but i am not kid anymore lol lol he gets bit angry but i think he understand. So our parents just want to protect us always no matter if we are 23 ar 25 are also old and gray we will always be they babies. lol lol hope this helps .

@Kristina…but with me it was my mother who was like ur dad xD but usually the father usually is protective of thier daughters.

Show that you can take care of yourself, or talk to them about it.

you cant if your parents have made thier mind…

Talk to your parents and tell them your ready.Talk to them dont get mad at there first reaction just try to work it out.
