Should I ask my ex to a football game?

Hey how you doing … hope you had a great weekend I was reading up on some sites over the weekend about the most effective way to say sorry to someone you have hurt and it said to do something or give like a sorry gift well just so you know I haven’t been in contact with him but I know he has always wanted to go to the football and its this weekend and I was thinking of asking if he wanted to come cause I have tickets. What do you think? You think that will be too pushy? I dunno I know I know I said I would move on and stuff but this was something I wanted to do and like its not like I can hound him to take me back at a football game and he and I have always wanted to go when I was together. What are your thoughts? Good or bad idea?

I dont think it would be a good idea right about now, bad timing thats all, i mean he might misinterpret it to mean your trying to get him out on a date with you, maybe if you speak to him before then mention that the footy is on this weekend and if he says he wants to go then offer, but dont just call him out of the blue and ask him to hang out becos its a crucial time right now for that. But you know him better so if you think that he wouldnt take it that way then go for it.
