College admissions essays

Me and my girl Asked by lucky0u 7 months ago, 2 answers.

So I have the college in mind that I would like to go to, and I have an application that I just got in the mail, [[even though I dont plan on going until september of 2010 because im still a junior I just want to get a headstart]]anyway, it says I need...

to write an essay on why I feel they should accept me at this school [[Its a music school and im going to it for Guitar]] and although im a VERY good essay writer, I draw a blank with this one. I have no idea where to start or how to say it without soundind all naive and what not.

Let me just ask that if your advice is to tell them how good I am or why I love playint the guitar dont post it, lol im looking for specifics, maybe from someone who has written an admissions essay on Why they should accept you.

Help is appreciated!

I would definitely go with why you love playing the guitar. The college is there to further you education, and even nurture your passion for playing. However, they need to know why you play, where you've played, and how seriously you take it.

The general tone should convey your unwavering passion for the guitar, yet it should also state your present state, what you hope the school can help you accomplish, and what you plan on doing. Those three points should help you develop an introduction, and the rest of the essay should be a breeze.
