Why do so many christians suffer?

IS CHRISTIAN BORN TO SUFFER ? WHY SO MANY SUFFERING

Well, the Christianity walk isn't always easy, I know from experience. The closer that you get to Christ the more the devil will tries to tear you down, and this causes, at times extreme suffering. But God will never leave you nor forsake you, He never said that it would be easy, but that you would never have to go it alone. I personally think that the suffering comes from two different parts of us. Our spirit which wants to follow God, and live your life completely for Him, and then there's are flesh, which doen't naturally want to the whole christian thing, we want to do the things of the world, follow the crowd. I think that sometimes it gets so hard because we take are guards down, and then it just all gets worse. We need to be in the world, but not of it. To talk about suffering, think abot Job, how he suffered, all the years that he suffered, loosing everything like that, and his wife, I believe, was telling him to just curse God and all this would stop. But no, Job stood strong, and God ended up replacing everything that he had lost and more. So yes there will be suffering, but God will ALWAYS be faithful in the end!

Is this a political question? I sure hope not.

Hey,im a Christian...are you? Anyway Christians suffer because the devil is trying to bring us down!!! If we stop sharing jesus because times are tough,then it's like saying the devil won, but if we keep going and growing in our walk with God, WE are the ones winning!!! Read the story of Job in the Bible.

All humans suffer. Show me one that doesn't.

Based on where you say you are right now, I can see why you're asking this question. I'm just not sure many people here can provide you the answers you're looking for. The vast majority of Christians in the Western world do not suffer for their faith. There are countries where the government actively persecutes Christians, and early Christians definately suffered for their beliefs. But life for Christians in the West is overall very comfortable. People aren't starving, nor are they forced to hold church meetings in secret, nor are they arrested and tortured for saying they believe in Jesus Christ. I think someone who has gone through those things is the only type of person qualified to answer your question.

That is mean. You are not the only one who suffers! What about the jewish? who are not the only god damn religion.

Many people think that we suffer because of wrong things that we have done or because this world isn't paradise. But others think it is the devil.
All we have to do is put our faith in God alone and he will lift our troubles.
