Cheap grace and costly grace

What is the definition of cheap grace and costly grace??

Answer #1

Cheap grace charges by the trick. Costly grace charges by the day.

Answer #2

Actually, common grace and special grace tells us nothing about cheap grace and costly grace. Cheap grace is grace without any change in the individual. Costly grace is sacrificing your sinful nature to follow Jesus Christ. At least, this is what I believe Bonhoeffer means when he distinguishes between the two. I would love to discuss it.

Answer #3

Another way is common grace and special grace. Common grace is the air given to all of us to breathe, jobs, and the rain falls on the righteous and unrighteous. Special grace is wanting to do Our Heavenly Father’s will. We can count the cost or not.
