Changing styles

Asked by vjkvfbfjkfdb 7 months ago, 3 answers.

Im a 13 yr old girl. Up until two years ago my moms been picking out my clothes for me. now I've just been putting in little imputs of my style. Now my styles been changing towards more dark/emo/goth stuff. Im scared that if I go to the mall, walk into...

hot topic and walk out with black skinny jeans, red stitchings suspenders and horazontal zippers on the pockets she'll freak out. me my bro are both going towards that style and my mom barely let him get pants liek that. I asked her if I could and she responded with No way in hell. So how do I convince her to let me change my style that much? im 1 grade behind and will b skipping a grade nexxt yr so that I can b in high school when I need to. And when I get there I wanna make sure I put a big impression on my clothing.

I think you should be honest with your mother, sit her down and tell her that your not a little girl anymore, and that you are old enough to make your own decisions.

State your case.

Say in your own words
Mom, theres come a time in my life where I need to express my true style. I hope you can see I am a growing girl going threw a time where I need to explore myself and find out who I am and what kind of woman I shall be. I also hope you will stay by my side and be the caring mother you utterley are. Thank you.

I hope this helps. I oh-so hope it does. Have a great day!

Tbf, everyone has there own style, and you're mum has to come to terms with the fact that you'rs and hers are different. But in all fairness, wanting to make an impression with you're style when you start high school isnt the best idea. Wait untill you've started and make some new friends, then choose you're style because you never know, in a few months time you might think what was I thinking. Also, you should maybe not go for such a dramatic change, introduce you're mum to new simple styles nothing too dramatic untill you have a job and can buy you're own clothes, you don't wanna freak her too much to young.
