Cats getting along

Okay so my cat Princess is about six, seven years old and I just got a new kitten that is less than a year old. Princess is already hissing and growling at him and I'm scared that they will never get along. Can someone tell me anything that will help...

them get along? We just got him today btw.

They will eventually learn to live with one another - it's going to take some time.

Remember, Princess was the Queen for a long time...now there's a little prince in the picture.

it will take them sometime.
but when they sleep at night keep them in seperate cages.
but let them play together and get usd to eachother.

My cat was like this (I tried for 6 weeks before giving up), but the vet did suggest, if possible putting the new kitten in sort of an enclosure where they cant get to each other and letting princess approach him... otherwise, keep the literboxes in different areas while they arent getting along... and keep an eye on them...
