Cartilage ear piercing

I just got my piercing done today, and I want to know, should I twist it or not? number two, should I used the cleaning solution I got to clean it or something else? and when im deep conditioning my hair what...

should I do?

yes you should twist it...use that and regular rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to clean it and avoid your ear when conditioning.

Yes twist it. if you dont twist it the skin may try to heal to the bar cauing pain and discomfort. All new piercings need to be twitsed daily. I used warm water with a small pinch of salt and its healed fully and is fine When washing your hair just be careful and remember you have the piercing there, its very easy to forget and knock the piercing.

I am a trainee body piercer and basically NO you do not twist it this with cause the healing fistula (piercing hole) to get irritated and with cause healing time to be longer.
As for cleaning sea salt soaks are the best and only option

1/4 of a teaspoon on sea salt (not table salt as this has added chemicals) put this into a mug/cup of boiled water then soak your piercing for 5-10 mintues with the water once it has cool down not to cold though you need it as hot as you can stand without burning yourself

Did you get it pierced with a gun or needle?

Yes twist it,so it doesn't get stuck.Yes,use the cleaning stuff,it helps.And be carful when washing.It's easy to forget.(Been there done that.DON'T want to go back!)
