Car battery?

Me - Created by maggot4 (Raven) Asked by ichibanarky 10 months ago, 8 answers.

The battery needed recharging because it died...does that mean the battery is finished, or will it be fine after this recharge? It's running now, but do you think this is a sign that I need a new battery?

If it makes a difference, it wasn't plugged...

into the block heater during the deep freeze the other night.

attach cables to the battery of your car, and someone else car batter (that works of course) then it should fully recharge your cars battery. I don't know full details, but of course the other car must be on. be careful though, and you may want to ask someone who knows how to do this. happy good luck!

Thanks backbyter...

My neighbour mentioned something about there being black spots on the battery connections (my husband knows better than me what he actually said), but apparently that's supposed to mean the battery is dying...would you know?

According to my husband and father (who is a mechanic), most likely you should replace your battery soon. My dad said that you will probably be able to charge it a couple of more times but it will need replaced.
