Can you be arrested for this?

Okay, so let me explain.
While at work some girl had 600 dollars stolen from her purse. A friend of mine and I were kinda laughing and she said oh, see they're laughing it must have been them! My friend and I were kinda like whatever, we were...

nowhere near your purse so point fingers all you want.
Can you be arrested for this? They said they'll watch the cameras and I hope they do...but with no proof (even though I didn't do it...that's not what I'm saying) can they say it was me?

No. They can't do nothing if they don't have any proof. If they do point fingers and arrest you- get a lawer and do something about it... And what the hell is she doing with $600.00 in her purse anyways, did she steal it- exactly my point, so you can point fingers at her too. Lol

its not what you know its what you can prove an even if you did do it, without any proof theres nothin anybody can do. My moms a cop an I've been thru a similar situation before. I had money stolen from me an I KNEW who did it but since there was no way to prove it I couldnt do anything about it. Anyways but no they can accuse you all they want to but w.o proof theres nothin anyboy can do

lol thanks, well that's what I said too actually, why did she have that much money on here with a place of like 60 employees. Plus, we all signed a thing saying they could search us if something came up missing and they didn't even pull either of us in the office.

You cannot be arrested, but it was insensative and dumb to do that.

That's a lot of money. (How would YOU feel if someone stole $600 from you and someone laughed at you?)
I hope that you are a better person than that, and you decide to appologize to the poor girl.

Maybe you should learn to read READ.

He said what you did was INSENSITIVE, not that you stole it (he was speaking about you laughing at the girl)

And I agree with him.

I wasn't laughing at her...we were laughing about something else, so maybe both of you should get the whole story before saying I'm insensitive.
