If a boy throws away your friendship, was it real?

if a boy can come throw your friend ship then is that a real friendship

I had a similar situation a while back, I knew a lad for 5 years we were close and he watched me go through alot, love, heartbreak, problems etc and i saw same in him. However when i met my current boyfriend i have now back in march, he too met someone and we were happy for each other... no jealousy or nothing which is good... but he chose to leave me... throw our friendship away just because he was scared to lose his gf. THAT is not a real friendship...yours is the same.. i dont know what the circumstances were but anyone who chooses to throw a friendship away is a coward, fake and a liar.
